The North Stars Soccer Club was founded in 1993 with the intention to develop soccer players to the best of their ability. Through appropriate competition and well guided training sessions we hope to achieve our goal.
Since our beginning our club has produced 8 state champions and 4 runners-up, with teams making it to the semi-final and final of the regional championship.
Former Dutch National Team player Bobby Vosmaer is the director and founder of the club. With the help of his staff, the North Stars have become a well known and respected soccer club in Western Pennsylvania. The coaches are attending coaching courses and clinics to stay current with today"s soccer developments. We visit European clubs every year to see what is done over there from a coaching and player perspective.
It is our philosophy to create an environment where young players learn to master and enjoy the game of soccer. Winning is important to us, however not as important as the continuous improvement in playing the game. A structured and enjoyable environment at the younger ages will change into a more and more competitively focused approach. However, fun is a main ingredient in the learning process while mastering soccer techniques and skills. Together with discipline and camaraderie we are striving to give our players the best learning situation possible in getting the most out of his and her game.
